BPM Detector App Reviews

Nuuuuul

Ça marche pas It doesnt work.

Poor algorithm

Algorithm is not very accurate - often doesnt give the right result

Not so hot

This app gave me different results for the same song :(

Great

I really like this app. The automated BPM finder is often off, but Ive looked online for one before and from what Ive read they all have that problem. This apps ability to play a metronome in the back ground with variable song and metronome volume and variable metronome speed allows me to find an accurate BPM. What would make the next version really rock would be a feature that automatically updated my iTunes library with the BPM info once Ive confirmed it. (note Ive been using this app for jazz not electronics and Mixing)

Not even close...

I work in a studio, and thought this would be handy...not....! Not even close to accurate, even clocking an actual metronome, it didnt even track the tempo at all. Les Bolen, LMM

Very inaccurate

Very, very inaccurate

Music guy

Completely inaccurate for all punk, hardcore, metal and heavy metal genres and sub-genres

BPM detector

What a waste of time and effort put into an app that does not deliver accurate BPM on any kind of music! You can take two different takes of the same track and get two entirely different BPM readings.

Surprised

After reading the reviews, I was very sceptical, however, upon using the mic option, I was actually surprised that 4 songs in a row it was rather close the actual bpm. Not bad. Impressed me.

Total crap

Doesnt detect even the most obvious beat. Dont bother downloading. Total waste of your time.

bad

not accurate recording length too long not enough setting

Pretty bad

Slow, stupid interface, inaccurate, takes ages to auto-detect bpm through the mic.

Didnt work

Totally failed to function. Froze up. Had to force close, delete.

Always wrong

Always (and I do mean always) gives a wrong bpm value on anything (and I mean anything) I try to load into it, even Rumor Has It by Adele. If I try to examine custom made GarageBand track, the value returned is "nan", which in geekspeak means "not a number", if you were wandering. Free stuff is only good, when it works...

It works

It works fine, but requires manual adjustment for just about every song in my playlist. If you dont have a good ear for music and metronomes, it may be too tricky for you.

Very good!

So far I havent ran into a problem have done a couple of songs in my playlist & so far they have been right!!! Very good app... :-)

Simple and free

I like it. Its simple to use.

I advise not to download

Always gives the wrong bpm. Your better using a manual tapping one.

Doesnt work & full of ads

I like the concept, but it has never given me an accurate BPM & even listening with the metronome after it analyzes the track shows it is wrong. I tried lots of songs with simple rhythmic beats: Nada. The play/pause button doesnt pause: it stops. When you play again it starts back at the beginning. Simetimes it was WAAAY off. Im not sure how the technology works, but if it is listening to the start if the track to get BPM, then it that explains why it is sometimes so far off, because the sons beat may not start for, well, for a while into the track. Maybe it would be more accurate it it let you cue up your track before analyzing? Lastly the app is chock full of ads. I wouldnt mind this though if it would work. :-(

Crashes every time

Unusable. Loads their ads fine, but crashed on ten different songs I tried.
